This week brings testing of the Martin / JEM Fan’s to our workshop.
The Martin / JEM AF Fans are very well known namely within the SFX, Stage and 4D / Theme Park effects environments.
They are known to be used within a wide variety of fields however we know them best to be used as below.
Stage / Entertainment:
Cooling artists or to help move Smoke / Haze around the stage in order to support coverage.
Movie / Film SFX :
Used to cool actors.
Mainly used to help move Smoke / Haze Effects around the sometimes vast spaces and create wind effects.
We are working to understand more in this area in order to help recommend alternatives for our customers.
We see that the AF-2 fan especially provided a reasonable cheaper replacement option for fans like the Mole’s although with the added value of having DMX control options, be that not so important onset.
Having DMX and more versatile installation options we believe provides a better resale value when it requires upgrading down the line.
We see potential in the Magic FX Fans for Film SFX.
Although with minimal control options the potential adventurous areas include the high output and low cost.
We are aiming to test the Magic FX XL Fan soon.
Theme Park FX / 4D :
We have seen that due to the wide range of compact installing options with these products they are commonly used as a WIND effect as part of a ride or 4D effect ride effect , several well-known theme Park Ride installers use these fans as their norm, also utilizing their DMX control in order to program within the ride scenes.
The majority of leading UK theme parks we know to be using these fans today for just those effects.
